At Christie Solicitors we believe that the very best legal services can be delivered at a reasonable cost. This is because we are a small practice with few of the overheads which larger firms attract.

Much of our work for private clients can be undertaken for a fee which will be agreed in advance. For other work and for business and commercial clients our hourly rates are some of the most competitive in the region. They are lower than the average Lincolnshire rate for an experienced solicitor and substantially less than those charged by city firms.

To assist clients with budgeting and so that they will know what their legal services are costing we:

• are always pleased and able to give up to date details of charges to date
• provide monthly billing in appropriate cases
• always ask our clients to fund disbursements (fees paid to third parties on a clients behalf) in advance unless the sums involved are trivial

Being financially efficient helps us to keep costs and fees down. Our terms require fee invoices to be settled within 14 days and we charge interest on overdue accounts. Because we control both our income and expenditure both the firm and its clients benefit.

All our legal services are provided and supervised by solicitor Geoff Christie. Your work will not be the responsibility of unqualified legal assistants.

We are happy to accept payment of our invoices for legal services (including VAT and disbursements) using all major debit and credit cards.

Banking rules prevent us from accepting other monies in this way. For example, in connection with property transactions we cannot accept payment of any part of the purchase price using a debit or credit card. However, our fees, the VAT on them and all disbursements (fees paid to third parties on your behalf) can be paid in this way. In connection with disbursements a small charge not excedng1.5% may be applied.
