Commissioners for Oaths

Solicitor Geoff Christie is fully authorised and qualified to administer:
- oaths
- affidavits, and
- statutory declarations
which need to be sworn before a Commissioner for Oaths. This power is given under section 81 of the Solicitors Act 1974.
If you need to have some documents sworn please contact our office and make an appointment. Although it will usually only take a few minutes to deal with your documents we cannot guarantee to be available if you call to see us without an appointment.
The fees for providing these services are set out in The Commissioners for Oaths (Fees) Order 1993. There is a basic fee of £5 for each document and £2 for any attached exhibits or schedules.
If for whatever reason the person wishing to be sworn to documents is unable to visit our office we may well be able to arrange a home visit.
Do you have a question or want to make an appointment to see us?
