Our principal solicitor Geoff Christie owns a property in southern Portugal and is a frequent visitor to the country. He has a keen interest in developing his law practice within the Algarve region where he eventually hopes to spend more of his time.
There are more than 50,000 British citizens living permanently in Portugal many of them in the Algarve. Most of them still have interests and family connections in the United Kingdom. As a consequence they often require the services of an English or Welsh solicitor.
At present the provision of English and Welsh legal services within Portugal is limited. Often the only option for British citizens is to deal with a solicitor from a distance and without being able to meet. At Christie Solicitors we recognise this issue and are endeavouring to create a service whereby we can assist the ex-pat community with their UK legal issues. Eventually we hope to open an office on the Algarve.
If you are resident anywhere in Portugal and need the services of an English or Welsh solicitor (we are not qualified to deal with Scottish legal issues) then do please contact us without obligation. We will see what we can do to help and provide the service that you need in a friendly and efficient way. Above all we will be mindful of the complications which arise when you are living outside the UK. If it assists we may also be able to see you when our principal solicitor Geoff Christie visits. He has a second home in the central Algarve and the use of office facilities in Guia near Albufeira - on the N125 and close to the A22.
